Urban Freestyle Objects

Through ad-hoc design workshops we makes use of urban spaces for design interventions made from found waste materials. Through our activities, participants are involved in generating value for our shared environment with some guidance, even when the source materials are considered “waste”. To shift perceptions and revalue resources, we sweep the streets on bicycles with manual tools, transforming waste into functional objects right where we find it.

Our motivations
We do this because we find joy and hope in the act of making, and we want to spark the same feeling in others. Our activities happen in public, on the streets, right where the materials are found, so everyone can watch us work, interact, ask questions, or share their own thoughts. We see public space not just as a backdrop, but as a shared living environment and opportunity for transformation.
Our actions
Through our U.F.O.s (Urban Freestyle Objects), we want to demonstrate the overlooked value and potential of materials often dismissed as waste. By showcasing accessible, hands-on DIY processes, we aim to inspire creative ways to improve our city’s public spaces sustainably.
